About JT Vehicles South Lakes

Company director, Jamie Tyrie, has been in the motor trade since the young age of 14, starting life as a mere pitch washer. He spent many a long and often freezing cold weekend washing over 200 used cars for one of Barrows busiest and most sought after independent dealers. After a few months of this a lad his age could of been forgiven for chucking in the towel and settling down at school to study for a real job! However his passion for cars lead him to carry on, in the hope there maybe light at the end of the tunnel......

2 years later, he was offered an actual "inside working job" HURRAH! The next chapter began.

Jamie proceeded with his valeting and detailing career, noting some real talents from his colleagues and lead by arguably one of the best valeters this century has ever seen, but that wasn't enough, the itch was getting harder to scratch and he was desperate to show he was more than just a cleaner, could anything be offered......you bet it could!

He then spent the next 5 years in the showroom, spending most of this time learning the "patter" and gaining the confidence to build relationships with clients, and most of all learning how people liked their coffee! He soon became a linchpin within the showroom squad, but the itch for more came back!

In 2010 Jamie flew the nest, to pastures new and onto another dealership, one that wasn't as established, but had a man running the show with the passion and drive to make it something BIG. Jamie wanted a ticket to this ball and worked along side and watched, learnt, breathed and lived everything that was on offer. Soon developing more knowledge and skills, fast forward 8 years later and he now has a huge client base, enviable sales skills and amongst all that, modesty! Knowing from where he came from to where he is now, it was time for the next step!

After learning traits from some of Cumbria's "Motor Trade VIPs" it was time to translate this into something with his name above the door. JT Vehicles South Lakes was born!
